Terms and Conditions
The terms on which WDI Group (Surrey) Ltd quotes for and carries out air conditioning work, and the terms of use for this website.
About us
Carshalton Air Conditioning is a local trading website operated by WDI Group (Surrey) Ltd. All work, quotations, invoices and warranties are provided by WDI Group (Surrey) Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 15560511, VAT number 495855036, registered office SBC House, Restmor Way, Wallington, Surrey, SM6 7AH. Refrigerant work is carried out under F-Gas registration REFCOM REF1021486.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean WDI Group (Surrey) Ltd, and "you" means the customer.
Using this website
This website is provided for information and to let you make an enquiry. The content, including guides, advice pages and area pages, is general information about air conditioning and is not a survey, a design or a formal recommendation for your property. Do not rely on it in place of a site-specific survey.
You may read, print and share pages for your own use. You may not copy our text, photographs or videos for use on another website or in marketing material without our written permission. We aim to keep the site available and accurate but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every page is free of error.
Quotations
- Enquiries made through this website are requests for a survey or a quotation. They are not a contract and nothing is booked until we confirm it.
- Surveys and written quotations are free and carry no obligation.
- Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless stated otherwise, and are based on what was visible and agreed at survey.
- A quotation covers the equipment, positions and scope of work described in it. Items such as builder's work, redecoration, scaffolding, asbestos removal, consumer unit upgrades or planning applications are excluded unless expressly included.
- If the work required changes once we start — for example a wall construction, cable route or drainage arrangement that could not be seen at survey — we will tell you before continuing and agree any additional cost with you in writing.
Acceptance and payment
- A contract is formed when you accept our written quotation and we confirm the installation date.
- Where a deposit is requested it is stated on your quotation and is used to order equipment for your job.
- The balance is payable on completion of the installation unless different payment terms are stated on your quotation or invoice.
- Payment can be made by bank transfer or card. Ownership of the equipment passes to you once payment has been received in full.
- We may charge interest on invoices paid late in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 for business customers.
VAT
The VAT treatment of your job is set out on your quotation. Some domestic installations of energy-saving materials in residential property qualify for a reduced or zero rate of VAT where the conditions set by HMRC are met; commercial work and work that does not meet those conditions is charged at the standard rate. We will confirm the rate that applies to your specific job in writing before you commit, and we cannot advise on your own tax position.
Access, preparation and safety
- You agree to give us reasonable access to the property on the agreed dates, along with access to electricity and water where needed.
- Please clear the working areas and protect or move valuable items before we arrive. We take reasonable care and use dust sheets, but we cannot accept responsibility for items left in the way.
- If you are a tenant, or the outdoor unit affects a shared wall, roof or communal area, you are responsible for obtaining the freeholder's, landlord's or managing agent's consent.
- Where planning permission or building regulations approval is required, obtaining it is your responsibility. We will tell you at survey if we believe consent needs checking.
Cancellation and rescheduling
- Consumers have the right to cancel within 14 days of accepting a quotation under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
- If you ask us to start work within that 14-day period and then cancel, we may charge for the work done and for equipment already ordered specifically for your job.
- If you need to move an installation date, please give us as much notice as you can — at least three working days where possible — so we can re-plan the engineers' diary.
- If we have to move a date because of illness, weather or supply problems, we will contact you and offer the earliest alternative.
Warranty and aftercare
- Our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion.
- Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty, which is stated on your quotation and typically requires the system to be serviced in line with the manufacturer's instructions.
- Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, tampering, alterations by others, blocked condensate caused by debris, power surges, or failure to have the system serviced as required.
- Filters need cleaning regularly by the user. We will show you how at handover.
- Report any fault to us as soon as you notice it so we can attend before it causes further damage.
Liability
We carry public liability insurance and we accept liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to that, our total liability in connection with a job is limited to the price paid for that job, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as loss of profit, loss of business or loss of data.
Complaints
If something is not right, tell us and we will put it right. Email info@wdigroupltd.co.uk or call 020 3727 2578 with your job reference. We will acknowledge your complaint within two working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days, keeping you updated if we need longer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. These terms were last updated on 17 August 2026.
